Christian Snyder appears to be rounding into playoff form.
Perfect timing.
The senior running back and linebacker was voted this week’s 4th Down Small School Player of the Week following an impressive showing in Week 9. The Upper Dauphin senior rushed 19 times, scored on four of those runs and accumulated 124 yards with his legs to push the Trojans to 7-1 (3-1 Mid-Penn Liberty) following their 46-29 victory over Fleetwood. They’re riding a six-game win streak with Newport on deck and the District 3 Class 2A playoffs after that.
Snyder also caught three passes for 54 yards and recorded six tackles in the win.
He leads a multi-headed rushing attack with 114 carries, 672 yards and eight touchdowns, a nearly even split with junior Brady Morgan. Snyder also has 20 tackles (one TFL) for the Trojans.
He beat out Tri-Valley back Kameron Wetzel with 540 votes to Wetzel’s 498, claiming 34% of the 1,590 votes cast this week.
