Mid-Penn Conference News and Notes: Colonial Division

Mason Yohn proving to be a do-it-all kid:

Northern features the modern version of a football iron man with Mason Yohn. He made all four of his extra points, added a 38-yard field goal, sent kickoffs into the end zone, intercepted two passes, had five tackles and caught a couple passes for 21 yards. Is there a single phase of the game where he wasn’t involved?

Putting one in the win column:

Nice bouncebacks for a trio of Colonial squads who did well to avoid going 0-2. Waynesboro thumped Red Lion by a wide margin, and so did West Perry, drilling Perry County mate Newport by seven touchdowns. Both of those results are surprises only because of the gap. Greencastle-Antrim stayed pointed in the right direction by nearly invoking the mercy rule on Lower Dauphin. Three wins all that would classify as “surprising” blowouts. Bet the Indians, Mustangs and Blue Devils are enjoying a good week of practice in anticipation for Week 3.
