Andy Shay’s Elite 11 After Week 9

11. Exeter Township8-1NR
We welcome the Eagles to the Elite 11 at this late juncture. Yeah they could easily be 9-0 and played No. 10 CV to a near draw. Plus they have postseason pedigree on their side.
10. Conestoga Valley9-011
Down-to-the-wire win over fellow previously unbeaten Exeter Township by a single point. Yeah this is a historical season for the CV program. 10-0 regular season?
9. Wyomissing8-18
Some would say the 31-7 final over Octorara isn’t your typical score when it comes to a Spartans victory. Make no mistake this was a quality win. No. 8 L-S is on deck to close the regular season.
8.Lampeter-Strasburg9-010
Hello Pioneers. Yeah we see dropping 62 on once beaten Twin Valley. That would put L-S into the moving on up category.
7. Dallastown8-17
Starting to lean on teams with some next level defense. Wildcats have surrendered only five touchdowns the last 12 quarters including one and only one in Week 9.
6. Harrisburg7-26
Still think the Cougars might have a say in the Class 6A postseason party. Solid bounce back against CD winning by 20 after what can only be described as a bad loss.
5. Wilson West Lawn8-15
Last two wins have been by a combined score of 114-7. The competition level has dipped. That’s gonna change this week with No. 1 Manheim Township on deck.
4. Bishop McDevitt8-14
Nice balance offensively rolling up 47 points on one-loss CD East. Crusaders are not as powerful as in years gone by, but somehow they feel better equipped to handle what’s thrown their way.
3. State College8-13
As expected the Little Lions crushed winless Carlisle. Love the McDevitt game is Week 10 for both teams. Great final test but SC is the clear favorite.
2. Central York7-22
Maybe not as competitive as you might like, but when you step up and play a powerhouse like Archbishop Hoban you aren’t worried about just winning games. Not going to drop them, although I considered it still think they are a solid No. 2.
1. Manheim Township9-01
Hey Penn Manor scored 14 on the Blue Streaks. That’s more than the previous four teams combined. Seriously, that’s how dominant MT has been. Wilson is about to feel the brunt of this extremely physical yet still athletic team
