Williams Valley standout Dylan Rabuck earned co-player of the year honors in the 2017 Class 1A Pennsylvania Football Writers' All-State Team. He's one of seven selections to hail from the Tri-Valley or Mid-Penn.

Friday night at Henry Hershey Field, Class A football powers Williams Valley and Steel-High will meet for the second consecutive season in a PIAA quarterfinal. And if the rematch is anything like last year’s party in Shamokin, fans are in for a doozy. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m., with the winner advancing to play either three-time defending champ Bishop Guilfoyle or Homer-Center in the semis.

It was a tale of two halves Friday night when Trinity welcomed Steel-High to COBO Field for a Capital Division contest. The Shamrocks dominated the first half and led 21-7 at the break.

Steel-High was not a very happy football team after getting cuffed around by Trinity in the first half of the Mid-Penn Capital showdown at COBO Field Friday night.

The Rollers trailed the Shamrocks by 14 points at intermission and they started to do some finger pointing at each other.
