Five fast facts: District 3 Class AAAA playoffs

Here are five fast facts to keep an eye on during the upcoming District 3-AAAA semifinal round on Black Friday. Mid-Penn Conference schools will serve as the hosts with games at Harry Chapman Stadium (The Chap) and at Speed Ebersole Stadium (The Speedway).

Making the Grade: Lower Dauphin vs. Central Dauphin

A couple of Mid-Penn Conference heavyweight slugging it out in the District 3-AAAA quarterfinals should have come as no surprise Friday night.

Central Dauphin, the No. 1 seed, and Lower Dauphin went toe-to-toe at The Speedway and each played a strong game.

Game of the Week Preview: Lower Dauphin vs. Central Dauphin

4th Down's Game of the Week features a pair of heavyweights with District title aspirations. Central Dauphin, the No. 1 seed in the District 3-AAAA bracket cruised past Carlisle, 59-39, in the opening round while Lower Dauphin surged behind running back George Halalowich to defeat Cedar Cliff, 22-12.
