Making the Grade: Big Spring vs. East Pennsboro

Shippensburg is still the favorite to win the Colonial Division this season. But it is not easy to beat the Big Spring Bulldogs. Just ask East Pennsboro.

Look, this non-divisional Mid-Penn Conference tilt between the Panthers and Bulldogs, won by East Pennsboro 55-46, was about two very good running backs, lots of mistakes and very poor tackling.

Game ball winners: Week 0

 

Each week during the 2017 high school football season, each member of our team--and those working behind the scenes as well at 4th Down Magazine--will pass out game balls to top performers. 

Players will earn five points per game ball. 4th Down will feature the player with the highest point total heading into the PIAA semifinals. We may even throw in a little swag for the overall winner.

Somebody must have made a deal with Mother Nature for the 2017 version of Week Zero. The opening night of the season was blissfully cool and comfortable for late August.

And a team under stress, the Camp Hill Lions, could not hold up under the heat Palmyra brought in the fourth quarter at Buck Swank.
