Shippensburg wins seventh Little Brown Jug game in a row against Big Spring

SHIPPENSBURG — The Shippensburg Greyhounds will keep the Little Brown Jug for the seventh year in a row with a 27-21 victory over the Big Spring Bulldogs at Veterans Stadium at Memorial Park Friday night.

Kyle Swartz plows ahead for 180 yards as Northern upsets Big Spring in Mid-Penn Colonial opener

NEWVILLE — It was tough to tell Northern was a 1-3 team Friday night at Bulldog Stadium.

The Polar Bears, mired early this season in a rebuild, appeared to shed that tag at Big Spring in the opener of Mid-Penn Colonial play, trouncing the heavily favored Bulldogs 34-7 to send a statement through the rest of the Mid-Penn.
