MECHANICSBURG — Trystin Sulich, Ben Nix and a Carlisle offensive line that proved more impressive as the night wore on bullied their way to 208 rushing yards and a 46-7 dismantling of Mechanicsburg on Friday night in the 2018 season opener at John H. Frederick Field.
In a sloppy game filled with penalties and fumbles, Carlisle dominated the line of scrimmage.
The Thundering Herd (1-0) ran the drive to great success, averaging 5.3 yards per rush. With the inside ground game humming against an overmatched Wildcats side (0-1), they kept the playbook simple with inside-zone runs and a few quick passes.
